    Kahlils work is derived from my ongoing narrative that he has created over the years. The tale is called Onus a story of the heroic mythos of one individual that against all odds will conquer evil and save mankind, but in Onus not everything is as it seems and good and evil are not so easily decided. Kahlil has spent years designing, developing and ultimately bringing this alternate reality to fruition in notebooks, digital files and sketchbooks. This body of work is versatile and can take on many forms such as a graphic novel, Video game, or a CG animated movie. The vision of Onus is an ancient techno fantasy pulsing within a biomechanical futuristic world.

Photoshop Brushes: kr_brushset2010
Here are some brushes that I use on a day to day basis.

Photoshop Actions: Maya_texture_Setup
this is a action script that takes your UV snapshot from Maya and sets up a useful workflow with layers. File must be black background with white lines and have an alpha channel. Just open the actions pallette open the maya texture setup folder select image size and hit play.

 

Combing Normal Maps in Photoshop:  
So you have multiple normal maps from Zbrush, Crazybump, XNormal,Nvidia filter and Mudbox. Now you want to combine them into one kickass normal map.

Maya Plugins\Scripts:   krUVtools
KR UV tools is a script for Maya that
allows you to move your UVs with precision anywhere you want in the UV texture editor. Usefull when baking or transfering maps on mirrored UVs.

Maya UV Shader:  krUVshader
I slap this shader on my model to check for streching/distortion in the UVs layout.
